Join me on a cultural walk through the farming village of Icod el Alto in the Canary Islands. Discover ancient customs that have shaped island life, starting from the village heart and tracing the historic Royal Road, a pathway connecting the island since centuries. Icod el Alto holds the distinction of being the birthplace of the Canary potato, with 29 government-protected varieties nurtured by local families since the 17th century. Discover the ecological and sustainable methods that preserve these unique seeds, keeping them distinct from large seed banks.

This tour is perfect for travelers keen on understanding Tenerife through its history and local traditions. Whether you’re visiting with friends, as a couple, or with family, you’re welcome to join this intimate adventure. Depending on the season, you may even have the chance to taste local and ecological Canary potatoes. Our activities are limited to small groups of 4-6 people to ensure a personalized experience.

Duration: 2 hours. Availability: Regular group sessions every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Regarding other days, only private sessions.

Meeting point: Group sessions start at Icod el Alto church. Transportation is not included and, if requested, may be arranged aside.

Price: 20€ per person for regular group sessions. 300€ for private sessions.
